How do I upgrade from KeepVault version 2?

• Uninstall KeepVault version 2 using the WHS Console (Settings | Add-ins | Installed | Uninstall)
• Run the KeepVaultWHS.exe installer on any PC with WHS Connector installed. This will copy the new KeepVault MSI file to your WHS add-in folder
• Launch the WHS Console and install the new version of KeepVault (Settings | Add-ins | Available | Install)
• Launch the WHS Console and select the KeepVault tab
• You will be identified as a current KeepVault user. For security, enter your existing KeepVault serial number you received during purchase, your private encryption key (must match your existing key if you elected to use a private key), accept the Terms and Conditions, and press Login
• KeepVault will now upgrade your account. This can take many hours depending on the number of files you have on the KeepVault store. You might want to start the upgrade at night and let it run overnight
• You will be taken directly to your KeepVault online job page
• You can select the View Protection History link to view a list of files previously protected with KeepVault 2
• Your Share selections from version 2 are automatically imported into version 3
• Select Settings | KeepVault and enter your desired email/sms/twitter contact information then press the Test button. You will be sent a test message to verify the KeepVault software can contact you in case of an event that requires your attention
• You can now configure local protection, if you wish, to supplement your online protection. Select the "My Local Backup Job" sub-tab. Note: local and online protection run simultaneously and independently so you are free to select any settings for your local protection regardless of your online settings
• You can now close the WHS Console and let KeepVault protect your files

Notes:
Restoring files from KeepVault version 2: some files may not be immediately recoverable from the KeepVault store using version 3. All files will display correctly in Protection History. This issue will affect some files and not others based on the physical 'node' location of each files on the KeepVault servers. Our engineers are in the process of updating all 'nodes.' Files uploaded with version 2 will become available to you with no action on your part.

Protection time for files uploaded from version 2: The protection time displayed for files uploaded with KeepVault version 2 will be the time of the database rebuild (i.e. when you installed version 3) since upload time is not available for these files. This should not affect protection status.
